Stuart and Diane’s home was the perfect location for our family gathering in Victoria. We were a party of 7, spanning 3 generations, and all of us were well accommodated. My parents were comfortable in the third-floor suite, where they could retire earlier, and the rest of us occupied the three bedrooms on the main floor. My husband and I chose the room with the pull-out sofa, which was more comfortable than most beds and each room had ample drawer and closet space for us to unpack. My son was delighted that there was desk space to work. The main floor was spacious and bright with plenty of seating, and the kitchen was perfectly equipped for every need. We made good use of all the amenities—the projector set up (for watching the world cup), the work out room, the ping pong table, the hot tub, and the expansive, beautifully-lit yard, where we played yard games at twilight. Perhaps best of all was the graciousness of our hosts. Stuart and Diane greeted us with a bottle of Prosecco, raspberry jam, and honey, which made us feel welcome, as if we were staying with friends. They invited us to make use of their condiments and coffee, providing detailed instructions about where to find and use equipment. The house is designed for comfort and ease, the location is close to everything—the sea, groceries, and restaurants. This was a 5-star experience and we’d return in a heartbeat.
